The prosecution at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Thursday set October 5 for submitting report on probe in the crimes against humanity case against two alleged Razakars from Narail.
The accused are Abdul Wahab and Omar Ali, notoriously known as Jallads of Narail. Both of them are now in jail.
On Thursday prosecutor Rezia Sultana Chaman sought three months more time to submit the probe report in the case.
Accepting the prosecution plea, Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-1, set October 5 for submitting the report.
Meanwhile, a new prosecution witness (PW) testified in the case against alleged Razakars from Kishoreganj Syed Mohammad Hossain, 64, and Muhammad Moslem Pradhan, 66. Of the two, Moslem is now in jail.
After recording the deposition of PW-8 and his cross-examination by the defence, the ICT-1 adjourned the hearing till August 7.
The ICT-1 on May 9, 2016, indicted the duo, framing six charges against them. On July 7, 2015, now defunct ICT-2 issued arrest warrant against the duo. Police arrested Moslem the next day from his home in village Kamarhati under Nikli upazila of Kishoreganj. But Hossain is still at large.
Hossain is the younger brother of death-row-convict Syed Md Hassan alias Hachen Ali, who was sentenced to death in his absence by the ICT-1 on June 9 for his heinous crimes against humanity in 1971.
