Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organized a seminar titled “Innovation and Research Opportunities for ICT'” on Thursday by the Department of Information and Communication Technology under Faculty of Science and Technology at Bijoy Auditorium of the campus.
In the seminar, BUP VC Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, te graced the occasion as chief guest and Pro-VC Prof M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD was present as the special guest. Dr M Kaykobad, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Syed Almas Kabir, President, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) were present as the keynote speakers.
The speakers at the seminar highlighted the need for more research on information and technology in the present globalization era.
To fulfill the aim of transforming Bangladesh into a technology based advanced nation by 2021, we need to put special emphasis on innovation and research for ICT as a tool for development and sustainability.
BUP high officials, teachers and students were also present in the seminar.
