Now he is a supporter of Jamaat-e-Islami. Abed was arrested on June 25, 2019, and is now behind bars,” chief coordinator of the agency Abdul Hannan Khan told newsmen. The investigation agency boss said they initiated the investigation against Abed on July 29, 2018, and concluded on Thursday. Khan said during the War of Liberation, Abed and his associates on different occasions used to force innocent civilians to work for their masters in Pakistan occupation army.
“Abed and his men used to beat villagers as they resisted to work for making bunkers for Pakistani army. Once they shot and threw three men Pobed Ali, Dumpel and Mojnu in river as the three informed Freedom Fighters about the movements of Pakistani army and Razakars. Of them Ali somehow survived with bullet wounds on his hand and managed to come to land. But Abed and his men again took Ali to the riverbank and shot him, this time they confirmed his death,” Khan said.
