Adequate application expansion of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) among youths could be the effective means of making them self-reliant through promoting entrepreneurship.
More and more youths should come forward towards ICT field for attaining competence in this field to meet up its gradually increasing demands both at home and abroad.
The observations came in a daylong workshop titled “ICT-based Entrepreneurship for Youths” held at Economy Lecture Gallery of Rajshahi University on Friday. Local unit of Youth School for Social Entrepreneurship (YSSE) organized the workshop where large number of students and teachers of the university attended.
General Secretary of Rajshahi University Teachers Association Prof Dr Shah Azam shantonu addressed the workshop as focal person while Divisional Coordinator of YSSE Hasibul Hassan narrated the aspects of generating more youth entrepreneurship.
Lecturer of Department of Accounting and Information Management Suman Hossain, Chief Executive Officer of Creative ICT Institute Golam Mostofa, Graphics Designer Ehtesam Biplob and Founder of Zero to Infinity Abdullah Al Mahmud also spoke.
In his remarks, Prof Shah Azam said the youths are the vital force to face the challenges of building Bangladesh Government’s Digital Bangladesh by 2021. “We want to see our youths as competent manpower in ICT,” he added.
