BSS, Dhaka :
The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Thursday adjourned the hearing of the trial of Sheikh Sirajul Haque alias Siraj Master, Khan Akram Hossain, and Abdul Latif Talukder, alleged Razakar trio from Bagerhat till December 21.
Yesterday (Thursday) was fixed for cross-examining the eighth prosecution witness, but the tribunal was compelled to adjourn the hearing as some problem was found in the computer system of the court.
PW-8, Ananda Lal Das, 60, submitted his deposition against the trio yesterday, accusing them for killing his father and injuring him (witness) during the War of Liberation.
The ICT-1 issued warrant to arrest them on June 10 this year and Latif was nabbed by police on that very day. Akram was arrested on June 20 and Siraj on July 21.
The ICT-1 on November 5, 2014, indicted the trio and framed seven charges of crimes against humanity.
The first tribunal also fixed February 18, 2015, as the next date for holding hearing or passing order in the contempt of court case against Barrister Fakhrul Islam.
Earlier on January 14, 2013, the first tribunal issued the notice upon Fakhrul for lowering the courts dignity and interfering with the privacy of a High Court Judge.
On December 30, 2012, the defence counsel filed a petition seeking an explanation from the sitting judges of ICT-1, whether they had any previous knowledge about the alleged Skype conversation between Justice Nizamul Huq, former chairman of the ICT-1, Dr Ahmed Ziauddin and Raihan Rashid.
