Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) in collaboration with Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited (DSE) organized a workshop on ‘Retail Investors Education and Protection’ on Saturday at TCB Auditorium in the city to commemorate the World Investors Week-2017, says a press release.
Professor Dr. M. Khairul Hossain, Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) graced the occasion as chief guest while Prof. Dr. Swapan Kumar Bala, Md. Amzad Hossain and Prof. Md. Helal Uddin Nizami, Commissioners of BSEC graced the occasion as special guests. Mohammad Sanaullah FCS, President of ICSB chaired the session and DSE Managing Director KAM Majedur Rahman, presented the Keynote paper.
Appreciating the timely initiative of ICSB, Prof. Dr. M. Khairul Hossain mentioned that Bangladesh as one of the Category A Level members of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) is celebrating the World Investors Week, 2017 for the first time. For this BSEC has jointly undertaken a weeklong literacy programme on share market in collaboration with various statutory bodies, merchant banks and professional institutions.
