Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) celebrated a grand Members’ Night 2016 recently at a Conference Centre in Dhaka.
On the occasion, a good number of Fellow and Associate Members of the Institute gathered at the night with their spouses and enjoyed an enthralling musical programme with sumptuous dinner.
They also had informal friendly chatting among themselves in an intimate atmosphere before the scheduled programme had started.
On the stage, President of the Institute Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS welcomed all the attended guests and their spouses. He expected that such social get-togetherwill be arranged regularly in future to pave the way for mutual sharing and understanding among the Members and their Families.
He further expected that the bondage among the Members of ICSB will be more consolidate and resilient through attending such events. In his speech, the President outlined various activities taken by the Institute during last 03 years and recalled the timeless effort and hardships that the Founding Members went through to pursue the Government of Bangladesh in enacting the Chartered Secretaries Act 2010 and establishment of ICSB.
He specially expressed his thanks and gratitude to the former Presidents and to the Honorary Members of the Institute.
On the occasion, the Founder Members of the Institute were remembered for their contribution to the Institute. Also, the Honorary Member and Former Commerce Secretary Suhel Ahmed Chowdhury, Past Presidents Mohammad Sanaullah FCS, Itrat Husain FCS& Founder Member N. G. ChakrabortyFCS were honoured with flower bouquets and token gifts.
The institute was established to develop, promote and regulate the profession of Chartered/Company Secretary in Bangladesh by an Act of the Parliament.
