ICMAB programme on aligning tax policy held

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) on Tuesday organized a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme on “Aligning tax policy – A Case study on Bangladesh” in the Capital’s ICMAB Bhaban. Member (Tax Policy) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Kanon Kumar Roy attended the programme as chief guest presided over by ICMAB President M Abul Kalam Mazumdar, said an ICMAB press release today. Femke Groothuis, Founder and President of The Ex’tax Project, The Netherlands spoke on the topic as the keynote speaker. Deputy Secretary of Finance Division Md. Abdur Rahman Khan, Member of Dhaka Taxes Bar Association Advocate Maruf Hasan, and Vice-President of The Ex’tax Project, The Netherlands Peter Gersen were present as discussants. CEO & Managing Director of IDLC Finance Limited Arif Khan was present as moderator while Vice-Chairman of Seminar & Conference Committee of ICMAB Md Kausar Alam offered the vote of thanks in the programme. Later, a good number of professional CMAs took part in the question and answer session.
