A mobile court of the Directorate of National Consumers’ Right Protection (DNCRP) on Monday fined an ice cream factory and a food product factory a total of TK 90 thousand for on different grounds.
Mohammad Foyez Ullah, Assistant Director of DNCRP, Chittagong District Office, led the mobile court at city’s Halishahar area and fined ‘Bullet Milk Ice Bar’ for using harmful chemical and colour and not mentioning price and expiry date of the packets.
The mobile court also fined ‘Arafat Food Products’ TK 50 thousand for producing food in unhygienic environment.Foyez Ullah said the factories were fined under the Consumers’ Right Act 2009.
