Bangladesh will take on Australia in their Group-1 match of the ICC T20 World Cup at Dubai International Stadium in the United Arab Emirates today. The match will begin at 4.00pm (BST). State-owned television channel BTV, private satellite channel GTV and private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the venue.
So far Australia collected four points from their three Group-1 matches, while Bangladesh are yet to secure any point even they played four matches.
It will be Australia’s fourth Group-1 match, while it will be Bangladesh’s last Group-1 match.
Before today’s match, Bangladesh faced Australia in nine T20I matches. Of them, Bangladesh won four matches, while Australia did it five times.
Spin Bowling Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Rangana Herath said, ” We have an opportunity to win against Australia. I believe our team will fight back in their last match.
I think our team can perform well. We want to display a satisfactory performance ahead of the Pakistan series. We shall try to regain our confidence and forget nightmare.”
Member of Australian Cricket team Ashton Agar said, ” We and Adam Zampa enjoyed to bowl in the wickets of Dhaka. We played for the first time in such kind of pitch. But, the condition of here is different. We have to win and we shall play for win. I hope it will be a fantastic match tomorrow.”
Bangladesh squad: Mahmudullah Riyad (Captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Das, Mohammad Naim, Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Shamim Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mahedi Hasan and Nasum Ahmed.
