Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) James Stewart on Monday called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique at his office.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of DU Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmad and Professor Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah of the Department of Law were present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed various issues including the on-going trial processes of war crimes in Bangladesh. They also discussed development of law and criminology education at Dhaka University.
They stressed the need for establishing academic relationship between the Department of Law of Dhaka University and the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The DU VC apprised the ICC Deputy Prosecutor of the history of the War of Liberation and Language movements.
