Professional journalist Ibrahim Khalil Jewel has been promoted as Executive Editor of English language economic newspaper Daily Industry from the position of News Editor. The promotion was given on Sunday (30 Oct, 2016) on the occasion of 2nd founding anniversary of the national newspaper.
Before joining Daily Industry in August 2014, Ibrahim Khalil Jewel was News Editor of Daily Bhorer Kagoj.
A masters from Finance & Banking department of Dhaka University, Ibrahim Khalil Jewel took journalism as profession joining Daily Bhorer Kagoj in 1998 as Sub-Editor. He worked at every position in news desk and gradually promoted to News Editor in 2010.
Khalil wrote many features on international politics and economy in different dailies. Besides desk job, he also did reporting occasionally. Ibrahim Khalil Jewel was a regular contributor of English language weekly ‘The Industry’.
