Ibrahim Khaled on life support

Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled, the former Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, has been put on life support at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital in the capital.
The BSMMU vice chancellor Prof Dr Kanak Kanti Barua said Ibrahim Khaled, also a noted economist, was shifted to the hospital from Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in Mirpur on Sunday evening following deterioration of his condition. Later, he was put on life support.
“His (Ibrahim Khaled’s) condition is very critical, so his CT scan can not be possible,” Dr Kanak Kanti said.The 80-year-old economist had been undergoing treatment at the Bangladesh Specialised Hospital since January 30 after tested positive for COVID-19.
Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled recently joined the Pubali Bank Limited as an independent director. He was also the managing director of Pubali Bank Limited for the 2001-2006 periods.
