Alhajj Abul Quasem, Sponsor Director of Islami Bank (IB) Bangladesh Ltd died at 9.30 am yesterday (Wednesday) at a hospital in Dhaka. (Inna — Raziun).
He was 90.
He left behind three sons, six daughters, relatives and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death. He will be buried for eternal rest at his family graveyard at Khuruskhul village after janaja prayer at 10 am on Thursday at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Eidgah.
Abul Quasem was the Sponsor Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd and joined the bank in 1984 and served upto 1987 as director. He was council member of the then undivided Chittagong district. He was born at Khurusakhul of Cox’s Bazar in 1927. His father was late Kala Mia Sikder and mother late Shamshad Khatun.
