Popular ‘item girl’ of the country’s film industry of present time Bipasha Kabir wants to establish herself as an actress rather than the identity of an ‘item girl.’
Though she has worked in more than two dozens films in role of an ‘item girl’ Bipasha now wants to establish as a heroine in the film industry, she said yesterday.
While talking in this regard Bipasha told this correspondent, “I have performed as an ‘item girl’ in many films. But now I have realised that if I would act in role of actress I could perform. As an example, Saimon Tariq sir has already given me an opportunity to perform as a heroine in his directed film Gundami. I have tried my level best to express my role in the film. From now I shall try my best to work as an actress in the film.”
It may be mentioned that Bipasha Kabir started her career in media after becoming star in Lux-Channel i Superstar.
Though she acted in several plays but Bipasha professionally started her career as an ‘item girl’ in film industry by Shahin Sumon’s directed a film titled Bhalobashar Rong.
Bipasha last performed as a Mujra dancer in SA Haque Alik’s directed a film titled Ek Prithibi Prem. She performed with four veteran actors – Syed Hasan Imam, ATM Shamsuzzaman, Abul Hayat and Amirul Haque Chowdhury – in the film.
