Medium pacer Shahadat Hossain said, “I shall present my best if I get chance against Zimbabwe.”
Shahadat Hossain was out of Bangladesh National Cricket team for a long time. Shahadat is working hard to come back in the national squad.
Shahadat Hossain last played against Sri Lanka in a Test match in March 2013. After that he was out of Test. He was playing in the National Cricket League, Bangladesh Cricket League and Bangladesh A team before he was called in the national cricket team.
Shahadat Hossain, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Taskin Ahmed, Al Amin Hossain are bowling in the net under supervision of Heath Streak, the Bowling Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team.
Shahadat Hossain is adamant to come back in the national squad. He played two four-dayers against Zimbabwe A. Hossain played for Bangladesh A team in September last.
Shahadat Hossain got only four wickets playing two matches. But the selectors are satisfied with him.
Shahadat Hossain has been selected in the 32-member preliminary squad against the upcoming home series against Zimbabwe.
Hossain may not get chance in the ODIs but he will get chance in the Test squad of Bangladesh.
Shahadat Hossain said on Wednesday, “My bowling was okay. But there is some problem in my fitness. I have overcome from that problem. I shall feel good if I get chance.
Shahadat Hossain had made his Test debut in 2005 in the Lord’s of London. Shahadat Hossain played 35 Test matches and bagged 70 wickets.
