I said no to a Bollywood movie : Bidya Sinha Mim

Popular actress and model Bidya Sinha Mim said no to a proposal
to work in a Bollywood movie titled Khufiya as its script displayed
incorrect representation of Bangladesh, according to the actress.
Mim informed that she received an
e-mail before Eid to sign up for noted Indian director Vishal Bhardwaj’s movie Khufiya. She told this to a local media. The movie fell under the
political genre. Mim was happy for receiving the offer from the Maqbool, Kamine, Omkara and Haidar famed director Vishal Bhardwaj.
Though Mim liked her role but she rejected the role after reading
the script. She believed that it does not represent her country Bangladesh properly. While talking in this regard Mim said, “It was really difficult for me to say ‘no’ to a noted Indian filmmaker.” Mim also said she had to politely decline the offer as she felt the story has been formulated without knowing appropriate political
history and other background
information about Bangladesh.
She also said, “It was my first offer from Bollywood but it was really unfortunate for me that I couldn’t accept the offer.
I hope in future I
will get a better offer – I think so.”
Mim informed that now she is
taking part in shooting of
a movie titled Antorjaal. She is
also talking with director Raihan Rafi to sign up for
a web film.
