“I had no problem with Shakib Al Hasan”, said Mahmudullah Riyad. Riyad confirmed this matter to the newsmen during a practice session at the National Cricket Academy Ground in Mirpur on Sunday.
Earlier, some news portals disclosed that
there was a cold war between Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah Riyad, which was created during the ICC World Cup Cricket 2019 in England and Wales.
The rumour was spread while Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah Riyad were chasing the mammoth target of 190 from 20 overs.
In that time Shakib suggested Riyad to play aggressively. But, Riyad played slowly and returned to pavilion after scoring 28 from 41 balls. It made dissatisfied Shakib.
” But it was not true,” disclosed Riyad.
Riyad said to the newsmen, ” I think it is better not to talk about the rumour. The news medias could present the matter in a different way.”
Riyad also added that there was a good relation among the teammates of Bangladesh National Cricket team.
