Newly appointed Head Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team Russell Domingo said, “I didn’t see so many newsmen altogether in my life.” Domingo said this comment at a press conference at the conference room in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Wednesday.
Domingo said, ” At a press conference in South Africa, more or less ten to twelve journalists were present. But, here I see that hundred newsmen are present at the conference. It proves that the emotion of the people of this country for cricket. Passion for cricket of this country insisted me to come here.”
Domingo added that he arrived in that country as a Head Coach of South Africa Under-19 Cricket team in 2004. He also added that it was his first journey in Bangladesh.
It may be mentioned that Russell Domingo reached the country on Tuesday last.
Russell met with the officials of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday. He also visited the conditioning camp of Bangladesh National Cricket Squad (preliminary) at Mirpur on the same day.
