Natore female teacher death: Husband Mamun sent to Jail,

The court ordered to send the husband Mamun Hossain to jail in connection with the death of Khairun Nahar, a college teacher in Natore.
On Monday afternoon, Mamun was taken to court. But as it was a holiday, he was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Moslem Uddin at 5:33 PM. After the hearing, the judge denied his bail and sent him to jail.
Golam Sarwar Swapan, lawyer of the accused, said, ‘The police could not bring any specific complaint against Mamun Hossain. For this reason, he was sent to court under Section 54. So we are entitled to get his bail. Bail will be applied for again on Tuesday.’
Natore Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasim Ahmed said that victim’s cousin Saber Uddin of Khamar Nachkoid village has
filed a wrongful death case as the plaintiff in connection with the death of Khairun Nahar.
Meanwhile, Natore Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Saha said that during the initial interrogation, husband Mamun confessed to their marital discord. Mamun said, “When they quarreled at 2 o’clock on Saturday night, he kicked Khairun and went out”. After that victim Khairun Nahar called several times but Mamun did not receive the phone. Mamun said that Khairun Nahar committed suicide in anger.
Besides, police also received information about Mamun’s movement in different parts of the city from 2:00 am to 6:00 am.
Earlier, Mamun was arrested after the body of Khairun Nahar was recovered from a rented house in Ballaripara area of the city last Sunday around 6:00am.
