A wife was killed by her husband at Dhiar Char in Sreebardi upazila of Sherpur district on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Golesa Begum(32) daughter of Fozol Haque at Kolakanda in Sreebardi of the district.
Villagers said a familial feud was going on between husband and wife. On the day husband Rashed Ali suffocated Golesa and he himself tried to suicide. People nearby caught hold him and informed Sreebardi thana police. Police hurriedly reached the spot and arrested him.
