A housewife was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband at Zinzira-Namabari area of Keraniganj Thana here last night.
The victim was identified as Bithi Akhter, daughter of Zahid Hossain, resident of the same area.
Police recoverd the body of Bithi this morning from a rented house of the area and sent it to Mitford Hospital morgue.
Police and family members said Bithi was married to Nadim Hossain ten months ago and he used to torture her for dowry.
Victim’s father Zahid filed a murder case in this connection.
