A woman was injured by her husband for not giving dowry money at the village of Naubariya Natunpara on Saturday.
Shampa Khatun(22), the wife of Hashinur Rahman has been admitted to Bhangura Health Complex with critically broken spine. According to the doctors , no one has yet come to the hospital to know about her and providing with necessary things and medicine.
Resident doctors said that patient was seriously injured. Shampa Khatun said she was married with Hashinur Rahman about four years ago. Then her poor father could not pay money of dowry to the groom. For this reason Hasinur Rahman took second wife.
Now Shampa has two children. The husband had been neglecting and abusing him by beating her mercilessly frequently , it is alleged. Abdul Ghafur, father of Shampa Khatun of village Caubariya Madhopara under Bhangura Pouroshava said that his daughter was brutally tortured after marriage for dowry.
