Police arrested the prime suspect in the sensational Nasima killing case from Dhanmondi area of the city early Thursday.
The arrestee was identified as Jewel Biswash, the victim’s husband. Kamrangirchar thana police recovered the decomposed body of Nasima, 25, from a multi-storey building at Rasulpur Road-1 under the police station on June 30 this year.
Building owner informed police that the victim and
her husband along with their 5-6 year-old boy hired a room on June 26. But no address or phone number was taken while renting the room.
A case was filed with Kamrangirchar Police Station in this connection. Following investigation, a team of the police station arrested Jewel from Dhanmondi area around 12:10am on Thursday.
During preliminary interrogation, Jewel revealed that he married Nasima six years back. But he did not inform his family members about his marriage. Nasima used to live at her father’s house in Jessore.
