A Chittagong court on Thursday sentenced to death a man for murdering his wife in 2014 over a family feud.”He will be hanged by neck until he is dead,” pronounced Chittagong Metropolitan Session Judge Mohammad Shahenoor as police escorted convict Habibur Rahman to the dock.
Rahman was tried for murdering his wife Rina Khan at their house at Kolshidigi area of CEPZ Thana in the port city on October 3 in 2014 during a family quarrel.
Rina’s mother filed a case against her son in law while police submitted charge-sheet on 31st December in 2014. Court officials said during the trial 13 prosecution witnesses testified before the court.
