A husband is said to have committed suicide after stabbing his wife to death during a dispute at Gulisha village under Sadar upazila of Chandpur on Sunday.
The couple were identified as Khorshed Alam Patwary, 60, of Balia union of Sadar upazila and his wife Baby Begum, 45, of Faridganj upazila.

pool of blood inside the house,” he added. Chandpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Nasim Uddin said that on information, police recovered Baby’s body from the house and took Khorshed’s body from Chandpur Govt General Hospital to the station.
Khorshed jumped under a Chandpur-Chattogram bound train at Mission Road area in the town. A hammer and screw driver were found from the spot, he added.
The whole incident is under investigation, the OC added.
SI Abdur Rob said that primarily they deduce the incident occurred over a marital dispute. There was no-one else in the house after their three daughters were married off.
