A court here today sentenced three people including a husband Prasenjit Gayeen to death for killing his wife Tumpa at Dumuria upazila of the district nearly four years back.
The two others convicts who were awarded death sentences are Animesh Gayeen and Biplob Kanti Mandal, Public Prosecutor Enamul Haque told BSS.
The court in addition to the capital punishment , also fined three convicts TK 45,000 each in default to suffer seven years more rigorous imprisonment.
The court also acquitted Subash Gayeen , brother of Prasenjit Gayeen of the charges .
