UNB, Khulna :Female vice-chairman of Dighalia upazila Kohinoor Begum who was injured in a road accident on Wednesday died at a local hospital on Friday afternoon. Doctors declared Kohinoor, also women affairs secretary of district BNP, dead at Gazi Medical College Hospital in the city around 2:30pm.Family sources said, Kohinoor along with his son was going to Dighalia from the city on Wednesday afternoon.The female upazila vice-chairman fell off the bike onto the road island and received injuries to the head after the motorcyclehit a cow at Kulibagan under Doulatpur Police Station.She was whisked off to Khulna Medical College Hospital. Later, she was shifted to Gazi Medical College Hospital where she was kept on life support at the CCU.However, doctors at the hospital declared her dead around 2:30pm yesterday. She will be buried on Sunday, said family sources. Kohinoor, who left behind his three sons and two daughters, was elected female vice-chairman of the Dighalia upazila twice.
