Members of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) arrested a hundi trader along with Tk 65.5 lakh from Shadipur Doctor Bari area of Benapole Port Thana on Wednesday evening.
The arrestee was identified as Mostar Ali, 35, son of Torab Ali, a resident of Shadipur village of the thana.
On being tipped off, BGB members conducted a drive on Wednesday around 7.15 pm, led by Nayek Ashraf Ali, to Shahidpur Doctor Bari area and arrested Mostar with Tk 65.5 lakh, said 49 Battalion of BGB Jessore Camp Lt.Col Ariful Haque.
Later, BGB handed over him to Benapole Port Police Station said Ariful Haque adding that a case was filed with the Police Station in this connection.
