The government has decided to appoint Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Humayun Kabir, as the next Bangladesh High Commissioner to Kenya.
Major General Humayun Kabir joined Bangladesh Army on December 21 in 1980, a foreign ministry press release said here on Monday.
In his long illustrated career, he had served as the chairman, Sena Kalyan Sangstha; military secretary to the President; vice chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals; chief of doctrine, Army Training and Doctrine Command; general staff officer first grade and also as the chief of operations, BANBAT 1, UN Mission in the Mozambique.
He has immense fascination for reading, doing research and playing golf.
Humayun Kabir is married and blessed with two children.
