Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Sunday underscored the need for setting up environment-friendly green industries in the country to ensuring the highest protection of environment.
“Environment-friendly green industrialization is our government’s political commitment. We believe the policy of zero pollution and zero accident in the factories,” he said while inaugurating the fuel efficient and advance technology-built new factory of the Aman Spinning mills at Savar.
Humayun said the government is giving the highest priority to employment generation and industrialization by ensuring the protection of environment.
In the election manifesto, he said, the present government declared to generate 1.21 crore new employments within the next five years.
“To achieve the target, the government is providing policy supports to all industrial sectors, including micro, small, cottage, medium, large, hi-tech industries and services,” he added.
So, new industries are being set up in different regions in the country, he added.
Thanking to the authorities concerned of the Aman Spinning Mills for setting up the factory, Humayun said the new factory will create employment opportunities for 300 people and increase the production of yarn.
“The factory will play a role to attain the country’s self-sufficiency in yarn production,” he added.
He hoped that the new unit of Aman Spinning Mills will contribute to quality improvement in the country’s industrial sector.
