Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Wednesday underscored the need for developing more skilled workers to survive in the competitive market across the world.
“While everyone around the world was terrified by the corona epidemic, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we were able to keep the country’s economy afloat by tackling the corona epidemic. In order to survive in the competitive market, we need to create skilled manpower,” he said.
The minister said this while inaugurating the ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ at the Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center (BITAC) in the city, said a press release. BITAC Director General Anwar Hossain Chowdhury presided over the function while senior officials of the ministry and BITAC attended it.
Humayun said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a non-communal man and non-communal leader.
Bangabandhu stood on the Racecourse ground and gave instructions for independence on March 7, just as he gave instructions for nation building on January 10, he added.
He said that through ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ set up in BITAC, the new generation will get an opportunity to know the real history and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s ideology, lifestyle, political philosophy, leadership qualities and patriotism, and the great Liberation War.
