Chittagong University students, especially the students of Finance Department under the banner of “Humanitarian Aid” has extended their humanitarian support through donating warm clothes and blankets to the underprivileged.
The “Humanitarian Aid” was initiated by the teachers and students of Finance department and now the students of other departments have been involving them to the humanitarian support team for upholding humanity across the country.
They already taken several programme including school dress allocation to the marginal underprivileged students, donating warm clothes to the worst winter sufferer among others.
Prof Dr Saleh Johur of Finace Department said, we have moral responsibility to stand by the underprivileged persons and the students and teachers jointly working for humanitarian support to them.
On January 16-17, they allocated blankets, warm clothes and school dresses to the underprivileged people of Cox’s Bazar SadarUpazilla where a total of 500 family were distributed 500 blankets and 15 thousand warm clothes. Side by side, they also allocated school dresses to 138 students and 12 thousand more clothes to another 2000 people.
Rajib Sarkar, coordinator of the organization said, we primarily extended our activities to the Cox’s Bazar SadarUpazilla and we have a plane to extend it to the other marginal regions where a mentionable number of underprivileged persons residing and facing the challenging life.
