Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor said here on Wednesday it is needed to change the society with making enlightened men and human society aimed at making the country corruption free.
“The country’s has been progressed enough under dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. To put the economy on a strong footing, we need to build the future generation as worthy citizens,” he said while addressing an award giving ceremony as the chief guest.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) organized the function to distribute prize among the winners of debate and cartoon competition against corruption at National Theater of Fine and Performing Art at Shilpakala Academy here.
Commissioner of the ACC Abu Md Mostofa Kamal presided over the function while its Chairman Iqbal Mahmud spoke on the occasion as the special guest.
Stressing the need for making the graft related laws more tough to curb corruption, the minister said, “There are provisions of sentencing death for corruption in the develop countries. We need such laws to fight corruption effectively.”
He later distributed prizes among the winners of debate and cartoon competitions.
