The residents of the traditional Kazi Bari at Kazir Dewri under Kotwali thana irrespective of caste and creed formed human chain protesting the obstructions of pedestrians movement by accumulating construction materials on footpaths and erecting building over 70 years old road of Kazi Bari yesterday after Juma prayer.
The devout muullis , students, and people of different ages participated the human chain.
The speakers in the human chain told that abusing power Kazi Moinul Hossain and others forcibly constructing building over the 70 yrs old lane which obstructing movement of the family members of Ambia Khatun , Kazi Amzad Hossain, Kazi Mir Akhter, Kazi Mir abul Hossain of Kazi Bari area .
In the meantime Ambia Khatun and others filed a misc case before the ADM court in Chhatogram under Section 147 (case no.2241/17) and on the other hand Chattogram Development Authority also directed the Kotwali thana police to stop construction over the disputed land.
Mentionable that ADM court issued status quo over the disputed land on March 8 last.
Defying the court’s order, the influential gang going ahead with the construction of building, eye witnesses sources said.
