A human chain protesting the murder of young Tonu, was formed in Sylhet Central Shohid Minar on Monday, organised by Online News Portal Sylhetview Readers Forum.
People from different walks of life participated in forming the chain, during which speeches were also given by former MP Shofikur Rahman Chawdhury, Comred Sikandar Ali, Journalist Sangram Singho, Shahmuzibur Rahman, Editor Dider Alam Nobel and others.

People from different walks of life participated in forming the chain, during which speeches were also given by former principal of Sunamganj Government College Porimol Kanti Dey, former head teacher Dhurjyoti Kumar Basu and others.
Sohagi Jahan Tonu, 19, a second year history student of Victoria College and a member of Victoria College Theatre, went missing on Sunday evening, hours after she had got out of her home at Comilla Mynamati Cantonment for private tuition.
Later, Tonu’s father Yar Hossain found his daughter senseless with severe injuries to her body at a bush adjacent to their residence.
