In protest of the attack and case against the Ekushey Prize winning Professor Dr. A.B.M. Abdullah, a human chain was formed on Monday in front of Z.H. Sikder Women’s Medical College & Hospital.
Dr. Mandy Sikder, the administrator of the Medical College & Hospital, initiated the human chain. All the doctors, students and officials of Z.H. Sikder Women’s Medical College and Hospital wore black badges and participated in the human chain.
The participants demanded Dr. Abdullah’s immediate release from the case. They also asked for punishment of the people responsible for the incident, end of violence and cases against doctors and ensuring security of the doctors at their workplaces as per the instruction of the High Court.
