Committee to protect violence against women has formed a human chain on the premises of Jessore Collectorate demanding arrest of rapists of the schoolgirl who was gang-raped by Bangladesh Chhatra League and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at Chaugachha in Jessore.
Parvez Sunny, Assistant General Secretary, Chaugachha Municipality unit BCL, M Uzzal, president of ward number seven unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal under Chaugachha Municipality and BCL activist Shimul and some others allegedly gang-raped a schoolgirl after abducting her from the ground of Shahadat Secondary School in Chaugachha upazila headquarters on October 4 noon.
The three were arrested red handed by the police. But the others were managed to flee.
The human chain demanded arrest of the other rapists.
Tandra Bhattachariya, Rabiul Alam, DM Shahiduzzaman abd Dipankar Das Ratan spoke in a rally during the human chain.
