Daughter of legendary singer and music director Bashir Ahmed, Humaira Bashir started the beginning of New Year with her original song. However, last day of 2021, on December 31, she also released a new song titled Smriti, which lyrics were written by Muktar Ahmed and music was composed by her father Bashir Ahmed.
On January 1, Humaira also released another new song titled Ami Chaini Tomai under the banner of Sargam Sound Station. Humaira said that there is an essence of 80s and 90s in this song. So, listeners may like the song. Shifat Shahriar wrote lyrics of the song and music was composed by Raja Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmed. Raja Bashir also made its music video, while Raja, his wife Runa and Humaira Bashir’s son Sargam were in cinematography of the music video of the song.
While talking about releasing her two original songs, Humaira Bashir said, “Smriti was my father composed and directed song. So, I have a different kind of liking with this song. Raja recorded my voice from Sargam Sound Station-2 in Australia. During that time I gave my voice staying at Sargam Sound Station in Dhaka. It was virtually recorded song. I enjoyed a lot for this reason. When I got its lyrics I really liked it. But I liked Raja’s music composition which was done after three times. By this thing it can be realized that how much effort was given for this song. My father and the year 2021 will remain forever in my mind with the song Smriti. The song Ami Chaini Tomai brought the beginning of 2022. Overall, I am feeling really good in this regard. I am feeling spellbound also. If the music-lovers like these songs in my voice, my effort will become successful.”
Humaira also said that during childhood, she for the first time lent her voice in her father Bashir Ahmed composed a song titled Ami Homa Pakhi Chai, which was aired on BTV during that time. It was Humaira’s first original song. Ami Prem Sondhan Kori was her first song during matured age. The song was written by Shahidul Islam and music was also composed by Bashir Ahmed.
