Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a drive, seized 3,336 pieces yaba tablets worth Tk 16,68,000 during trafficking in a private car in Patiya Thursday.
Two drug dealers-identified as Bhobotosh Basak, 33, and Mridul Dey, 28, were detained over the smuggling attempt.
During interrogation, the detainees confessed that they have been shipping yaba in different parts of the country from Chittagong.
On secret information, RAB conducted the drive and detained the them.
The traffickers and the car were handed over to Patiya Police Station, district police sources s aid.
