Police along with the district and department of fisheries officials in a drive seized around seven tones of Jhatka from Bay of Bengal on Friday night.
Director of Fisheries Directorate MI Golzer said, acting on a tip-off, they conducted the drive from a trawler named MV Sea Power-4 and seized the Jhatka.
Police seized the fishing trawler but the Jhatka businessmen fled from the scene.
