District Administration officials with the help of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized 70 metric tons of Jatka from a fishing trawler at Sadarghat Fishery Ghat area in city yesterday.
Arafat Hossain, executive magistrate of Chittagong district administration said they seized the jatka in the morning from a fishing boat. RAB men also arrested the captain of the boat but the owner of the boat escaped from the scene quickly, sources said. The approximate market price of these fish is about Tk.10 lakh, a fish trader sources said.
