Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested 21 people along with 6,000 kilograms of jatka (hilsa fry) from Burirhat Bazar in Sadar upazila early Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Madaripur Rab-8 halted 12 jatka-laden human haulers in the area at the dead of night and recovered the jatka, said executive magistrate Ziaur Rahman.
He said the seized fish was distributed among the destitute people of the area.
