Chattogram Bureau :
National Security Intelligence team at Shah Amanat International Airport, chattogram seized 314 cartons of foreign contraband cigarette from a baggage of the passenger landed at airport from Dubai, UAE in a Bangladesh Biman flight at evening hours of Wednesday.
Acting on secret tip off, NSI team seized the consignment of cigars from the baggage of Md. Rashedul Karim hails from Fatikchari Upazila of the district.
The seized cigars consists of 217 cartons of Easy Light brand, 44 cartons of 3-G Rotty Brand. Meanwhile another consignment of 167 cartons of foreign brand cigars were seized from the baggage of a passenger of Air Arabia flight on Tuesday.
The seized cigars alongwith the passenger handed over to Airport customs officials for necessary departmental actions.
