Customs intelligence recovered three consignments of glass brought under false declaration through Chittagong Port on Thursday .
Customs intelligence recovered the ‘reflective mirror’ glasses after carrying out physical test of the glasses which were imported under declaration of ‘clock and watch glass’ and ‘ dark blue’ glass, customs sources said.
Messer’s B Baria Glass House, PARM Enterprise and Asha Trade International of Dhaka imported the glasses from China last month.On secret information, the customs intelligence postponed the delivery process of the glasses from the port last month.
After carrying out physical test of the glasses today, customs intelligence found that the glasses were brought under false declaration to evade revenue worth about Taka 41 lakh.
