A mobile court here on Friday destroyed around 30 maunds of chemically ripened mangoes at Afra village in Sadar upazila on Friday morning.
The mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Salma Selim, also Sadar upazila nirbahi officer (UNO), conducted the drive at the village around 11am and fined two mango traders Malek Foraji, 40, and Sohrab Malek, 60, with Tk 50,000 each for using chemicals to ripen the fruits.
Later, they destroyed the seized mangoes.
