Staff Reporter :The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2015 will begin across the country from April 1, says Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Friday.”As the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will end next month, the HSC and equivalent examinations of 2015 will begin across the country from April 1,” the education minister told the guardians in city yesterday. After inspecting the ongoing SSC examinations centers at the Government Laboratory High School and Dhanmodi Boys High School, the education minister said.The results of the SSC examinations will be published in due time. He requested the guardians to tell their children not to be frustrated in view of the frequent shifting of the SSC examinations.”The SSC examinations had been shifted several times due to frequent hartal, and blockade. As a result, the SSC candidates might be frustrated and they need your (guarding) encouragement. You will tell your children to keep their brain cool during the examinations,” Nurul Islam Nahid said.He urged the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-led 20-party alliance leader Khaleda Zia to stop her ongoing blockade and hartal programme considering the future of the country’s young generation.”These examinees will lead the country in future. And if the examinations are shifted due to hartal and blockade, they may lose their confidence,” he said.”I hope a good sense will prevail upon the BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and she will withdraw hartal and blockade,” Nurul Islam Nahid said.Education Minister assured guardians of necessary security for the SSC examinees.”Like you (guardians) we are also worried about the future of the 15 lakh students,” he said.
