A female examinee of Higher Secondary Certificate died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital early Friday, three days after she was burnt in an attack carried out by miscreants in Munshiganj.
The victim, Sonia Akter, was a student of Dr Abdul Gaffar School and
College of Gazaria in Munshiganj.
Sonia, who received 80 per cent burns in her body, died around 2:00am at the hospital’s burn unit, said Hazera Begum, the victim’s mother.
Miscreants set fire on Sonia’s body by pouring flammable substance beside her house at Gazaria on April 17, she said.
A case was filed in this connection.
