A female college student committed suicide by hanging herself in city’s Mehedibag area yesterday morning. The deceased was identified as Nasrin Sultana, 18, daughter of Jasim Uddin, hailed from Fulgaji upazila of Feni district.
Quoting the victim’s relatives, police said Nasrin, an HSC candidate from Chittagong Model School and College, committed suicide by hanging herself over love affair. She was rushed to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where attending doctors declared her dead. The body was sent to the morgue for autopsy.
