Police have rescued an HSC candidate an hour after she was abducted from in front of examination centre in Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar.
Four people have been detained with a car for involvement in the abduction, said Chakaria Police Station OC Pravash Chandra Dhar.
Miscreants picked up Rumana Ishaq Nuri in a car from the gate of Chakaria Degree College around 9:45am on Tuesday, the OC said.
When informed, police set up several check posts on different routes including the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway to block the kidnappers. An hour later, police tracked the car and
chased it down to rescue the examinee. The abductors-Aman Ullah, Nasir Uddin, Salahuddin and Goribullah-were also detained.
Nuri could take the test later under special arrangement.
